Lors du 20ème Conseil national de dialogue Umushyikirano à Kigali en février 2026, le Président Paul Kagame a déclaré publiquement qu'il est acceptable que les minerais provenant de la République démocratique du Congo transitent par le Rwanda pour être vendus à l'international.
